when I considered UX design as a career, I was very confused and did not know where to start. There is a lot of information out there about “which software to your ?” “how to create your portfolio?” etc, but very little information about “why you should become a UX designer?”, “what all you have to do before you start your career.”

here, I am going to simplify it for you. If you are in the middle of your bachelor's or master's degree in computer, and you realize that you do not enjoy coding or C, C++, java scripts are not your cup of tea. But at the same time, you enjoy the making part of the website, apps, and other databases then you should opt for UX design.

Good UX design helps the user to finish their job efficiently. For example, if I want to buy NIKE shoes. I would go to Amazon.com and type “NIKE shoes for women” in a search bar, From millions of shoe products out there, It will narrow down the search for me and showcase varieties of NIKE shoes that I can choose from. All the actions I took to reach the finish line is called User Experience.

It is very satisfying when you see your Idea being converted into an APP or a website. But UX design is not just about how to make a pretty app or a website. Do not mistake by the UI design process (which we will cover in the next article).

From the current market situation to user’s mindset to their needs. It needs a lot of research and prototyping before you jump on APP Design.

UX design is divided into 5 stages
- Empathaies
- Define
- Ideat
- Prototype
- Test

1. Empathaies

where you understand user/customer issues and trying to find a solution. In a literal sense when you put your feet on your user shoes and see what all problems they are facing.

2. Define

After understanding their situation, you will be able to figure out the problems they are facing. Gather as many problems as you can.

3. Ideat

This is the most fascinating stage where you will try to find a solution for all those problems and trying to give a structure to your Idea.

4. Prototype

your creative side will come handy if you like storyboarding or any type of sketch this will be a perfect stage for that. Prototype is a way to display how your app or website is going to navigate. It will give you more clarity.

5. Test

This is the time when you examine your prototype with a real user. you will realize the difference between your assumptions and real solutions. Also, you have to be non-bias while you choose your users for testing, otherwise, you will never get estimated results.
